Background

Communications between dental practitioners and their patients have been generally based on social messaging platforms such as WhatsApp, with the following concerns and problems: 

  • - Failed to protect privacy of stakeholders with the usage of third-party messaging applications  

  • - High percentage of repeated and general questions from patients results in resource wastage

We conducted in-depth research to identify and prioritize user needs through various methods, including online interviews and surveys, affinity diagrams, and user personas. These methods helped us identify the TOP 3 user needs as shown:

Problem Statement

Our team intends to design a communication system that provides an efficient and smooth conversation experience while protecting the personal data of our stakeholders. 
Our design goal aims to speed up the process of patients obtaining accurate advice quickly while reducing the workload of doctors. Our team also identifies the need for our design to be safe and easy to use.
