Project Description 

A compact and cost-effective ultrasound device to help family physicians sift out low-risk patients and provide timely referrals for high-risk patients to seek treatment before they progress from fatty liver to advanced liver fibrosis.

Problem: Limited Accessibility to the FIbroScan

A high influx of patients is sent to specialist clinics for liver fibrosis screening due to the lack of screening equipment in General Practitioners' Clinics. Patients with liver fibrosis will need to wait for a long period before getting diagnosed, further exacerbating the problem. Unnecessary stress is also given to patients who are wrongly diagnosed as healthy during the visit to the specialist.
